HANOVER COMMUNITY CHURCH is a non-denominational Jesus Christ centered Bible believing fellowship.  Our fellowship is open to everyone, come as you are...  We are a traditional Country Church out on the prairie, seeking to follow and honor our Lord Jesus Christ in our daily lives.

The History Of Our Church:  The first Sunday School in Hanover began in 1907, when one of the first homesteaders, Mr. Wesley R. Causey, taught a class of young girls.  Mr. Causey felt a great concern for the spiritual welfare of the many new settlers coming into El Paso County.

In April, 1918, a handful of people in the Hanover Community gathered to organize their first official Sunday School.  Attendance grew from nineteen to one hundred in that year.

The years that followed World War I, and the Depression, saw an exodus of many families from the Hanover Community.  In the fall of 1951, the young people of the community arose as a band to meet the challenge of a Church building.  Determine, they invaded every ranch and farm in search of scrap iron, metals, and old paper.  From the sale of these items they netted $160.  Building plans were on the way!

The old Homesteader's dream came true when Mr. Causey saw the Church building completed on May, 22, 1954.  The building, as it stands today, was dedicated on April 17, 1955.
